Our journey continues...

So... I haven't posted in an entire year! I've been thinking about it lately as God has been moving in our family and calling us again to Iraq. I finally decided to login today and post the news to this blog. Amazingly, my last post was in April 2010.

Just quick thoughts with more detail later.

Our currently plan has us going to Union Mills, NC in July for 4 weeks of training - 2 weeks will be language acquisition (not language learning, but tools to acquire any language) and then 2 weeks of team training to be more effective within a team cross-culturally. More info here.

We will then return to Nashville for about 2 weeks and fly out for Iraq late August so we can arrive a couple of weeks for school starts.

We are returning with Servant Group International (SGI) and will be teaching at the Classical Schools of the Medes in Erbil Iraq. This is same city and school we taught at last year.

We are really looking forward to see the students, teachers, market owners and neighbors with whom we stated building relationships.

Thanks for following along with us in this journey.

  1. Kinley!! I am so happy you guys are going to Union Mills! Wish, though, you could go for the training that begins in June--this is where they do a series of teachings called "Heart of the Missionary." It's so phenomenal. But I know that any training you receive there will be beneficial. I am just so excited things worked out for your family to attend CIT.
We will praying for all of you in the upcoming months as you prepare for your ministry.
